【Abstract】Aiming at the problem that rear-end colisions are prone to occur when vehicles are following at low speeds,thispaperdesignsasystem integrating ranging alarmand auxiliary braking functionsbasedon theAT89C51 single-chip microcomputer.Bydeplyanalyzing theminimumsafe time modelofthevehicle during dynamic driving,the systemusesultrasonicdistancesensorsandvehicle speed sensors tocolectdatainreal time,combinedwith the environmentaltemperaturecompensationalgorithm,toaccuratelycalculatethevehicledistanceandtheminimumsafe time.When themeasuredvehicle speedand thedistance betweenvehicles fail tomeet theminimumsafety time requirements,thesystemwillimmediately triggeranaudibleandvisualalarm.Intheeventthat thedriverfailsto respond in time,the auxiliary braking program will be automatically initiated.
