Research on the Designof the Axle Shell of Micro Truck Drive Axle

【Abstract】This paper conducts a systematic study on thedesign and strength verification of theaxle housing of micro-truck drive axles.Through theoretical calculation and mechanicalanalysis,the stress distributionand load-bearing capacityof theaxlehousing under static load,dynamic impact,maximum traction force,emergency braking and lateral forcear comprehensively evaluated.The steel plate stamping and welding process was adopted,combined with the section optimization(circular pipe with an outer diameter of 8Omm and an inner diameter of 60mm ),to calculate the staticbending stress(82.16MPa)and dynamiccombined stress(maximum179.29MPa)of thebridge housing at the dangeroussection,andverify that itmees theallowable stress standard(bending stress≤5ooMPa).Torsional stress≤ 300MPa.The study quantifies the bending moment,torque and combined stress under diferent working conditions by introducing thedynamic loadcoeffcient(2.5)andthemasstransfercoeficient(1.2/0.85).Theresultsshow thatthis designachievesabalancebetweenlightweight(improvedmaterialutilizationrate)and high strength,meetsthe requirementsof processability,economyand safety,and provides theoreticalsupport forthe engineering designof micro truck drive axle shell.
