Influencing Factors of Computational Thinking Ability Development among Normal University Students

AbstractWith therapid developmentofinformation technology,computational thinking has become an indispensable core competency for students.To explore the factorsthataffectthe developmentofcomputational thinkingability among normal university students,this article takes them as the research object and uses the Bebras Chalenge test and the Computational Thinking Scale (CTS)tool to investigate their creative thinking,algorithmic thinking,critical thinking, problem-solving,and cooperative leaming. The results indicate that problem-solving and cooperative leaming have a significant positive impact on students'computational thinking ability, whilecreative thinking,algorithmic thinking,and critical thinking have no significant impact on students' computational thinking ability.
