Abstract：Inorder tocomprehensivelyinvestigate themechanisms through which changes intheagricultural industrial structure influence thealocationofagricultural productionfactors，andtheir subsequent impactontotalfactorproductivity， this studyutilized paneldata from3Oprovinces（autonomous region，municipalitydirectlyunder thecentral government）in Chinafrom 2Oo5to 2O21.TheDEA—Malmquistindex methodwasemployedtomeasureagricultural total factor productivityanditsdecomposition indices.Thetemporal evolutionof China'sagricultural total factorproductivityand regionaldisparitieswere analyzed，andtherelationshipbetweenagricultural industrial structure optimizationand agricultural totalfactorproductivitywasfurtherexploredusingabenchmark linearregressionmodel.Theresultsrevealed that：China'sagriculturaltotal factorproductivityexhibitedanoverallupward trendoverthestudyperiod，with technological progress identifiedastheprimarydriving forcebehindthis growth.Thegrowthtrajectoryof agricultural total factorproductivityacrossprovinces（autonomousregion，municipalitydirectlyunderthecentral govermment）generally aligned with thenational trend.However，diferences emerged in thecontributionsofpuretechnical eficiencyandscale eficiencytoprovincial agricultural total factorproductivity growth.Theupgrading，rationalization，andgrening （ecologiztion）oftheagricultural industrialstructureexertedsignificantinhibitoryefectsonagriculturaltotal factor productivity.Specifically，foreveryoneunit increase inthese threedimensions，theagricultural totalfactor productivityof agriculturedecreased byO.26，O.22 andO.43units，respectively.Therefore，itisnecessary tocontinue the promotionof technologicaladvancementsinagricultural，improvingrural humancapital，andenhancing thepotentialofscaleeiciency.
Furthermore，itadvocatedforregion-specificpolicyinterventions tofacilitate theeficientallcationandmobilityof agricultural resources，thereby supporting the sustainableand green transformationof China's agricultural sector.
