Abstracts:Multiairductairdeliveredsprayers have been widelyutilized inorchardplantprotectionduetotheirabilityto enhancespraying eficiency.However,theperformanceof such sprayers ishighlydependenton theintemal airflow dynamics,whichdirectlyafectspraydistributionquality.Inordertooptimizetheinternalairflow fieldof themulti-duct air sprayerused invineyards,this studyfocusedonthe designof theairoutletsand diverters.The wind velocityattheair outlets,aswellastheflowregulationefectsof diverters,withandwithoutdeflectors,wereanalyzedusingFluent numerical simulation software.The simulation assessed theatenuation of wind speed along the centerlineof theair outlet,thewind sped distributionatvarious distances fromtheoutlet,andtheuniformityofairflowatthediverter inboth configurations (with andwithout deflectors).The suitableoperational spraying distancewas also determined basedon airflowcharacteristics,andthesimulation findingswerevalidated through experimental testing.Resultsfromthe simulation indicatedthat wind speedalong theoutletcenterlineinitialldeclined sharplyand thentaperedgradually.The sprayer was found to be optimal for operation at adistance of 1m . In the configuration without a deflector,the diverter exhibited significant variability inwind speed,with a coefficient of variation of 39.08% ,indicatingahighlyunevenairflow distribution.Conversely,thepresenceofadeflectorresulted inamuch moreuniformflow,withacoeficientof variation reduced to 3.06% .Experimental validation showed that the measured wind speed trends closely matched the simulation predictions,with only minordeviations.Thesediscrepancies remainedwithin acceptable eror margins,confirming the accuracy and reliability of the simulation model.
