Abstract:Toaddressthechallengeoflowwindspeedatthetailendandinsufficientairflowonbothsidesofthefrontend of thecross-flow faninthe windfiledofharvest machinery,thisstudy focusedonthemultifunctionalcombined grain harvester.Key influencing factorswereidentified,including thevolute shape,sidesealing plate,front-end inlet clearance,back-endinlet clearance andupper-endoutlet clearance.Using Fluent fluid simulationanalysisand prototype optimization,each factor was systematicall tested andanalyzed to determine its efect on fan performance. Thegoal was tooptimize the parameters with the most significant impact andtherebyenhance theoverallperformance of thefan.The results showed that the volute shape,side sealing plate,and upper outlet clearance had the most substantial influenceonthewindfielddistribution.Specifically,ading twosidesealing platesincreasedthewindspeedat the front end from 9-10m/s to 12-13m/s . Optimizing the volute shape and adjusting the rear-end upper clearance improved the average wind speed at the tail end from 6-6.5m/s to 6.5-7.5m/s :
