Abstract：Objective：To evaluate the efcacyof valsartan combined with amlodipine and valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazideinthetreatmentofelderlyhypertension.Methods：96elderlyhypertensivepatientsadmittedtothe First People's Hospital ofLi County， Gansu Province from October 2022 to October 2023 were divided into thecontrol groupand the experimental group，with48cases ineach group.Thecontrol group Was treated with valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide，and the experimental group was treated with valsartan combined with amlodipine.The blod pressre control and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results： Compared with the control group， the experimental group had a more significant improvement in blood pressure （P<0.05） ，and there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups （P>0.05） .Conclusion： Valsartancombined with amlodipine has more prominentantihypertensive efect in elderlypatients withhypertension， with higher drug safety， which is worthy of promotion.
