Abstract： In today's era of prevalent social media，how to use social media to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education isan important issueatpresent.Thispaperanalyzes theconnotationsof social mediaandcollege ideologicaland political education，explores theimpactofsocial mediaontheefectivenesofcollege ideologicalandpolitical education，andproposes pathstoreconstructtheefectivenesofideologicalandpoliticaleducation， aiming to enhance the appeal and influence ofideological and political education on college students.
