Abstract： With the rapid development of information technology，modern archive management has become the key to improving work eficiency and optimizing resource alocation in public institutions.Combining information technology with traditional archive management can not only effectively integrate，protect，andutilize archive resources，but also provide scientific and accurate data support for decision-making in public institutions. The application of information technology in archive management covers many aspects such as archive informatization construction，digital transformation，inteligentretrieval，and scure storage，profoundlychanging thetraditional modeandconceptof archive management.Therefore，this article will start with thenew requirements forarchive management inpublicinstitutions inthe informationage，explore theapplication practiceof information technologyin archive management in public institutions，and provide suggestions for the informatization ofarchive management in public institutions，inorder to provide usefulreferences for the modernization transformationof archive management in public institutions.
