Abstract:Aimingattheproblemsofloweficiencyand highdamagerateofartificial picking,theexperimentalstudyonthe mechanicalcharacteristicsofgarlicbolt ispresented inordertodesignthe mechanicalpicking structure.Theaveragediameter of the garlic bolt stalk,middle and tail is 7.34mm , 6.22mm and 5.15mm ,the average length of the garlic bolt stalk is 539mm and the average length of the false stem is 239.5mm .Under the condition that the garlic bolt geometric model is cylindrical,thegarlicbolttensilestrengthtestisconductedthroughtensiletest,andtheDesign—Expert13softwareisused toanalyzethedata.Thesignificant influenceofeachfactoronthegarlicbolttensilestrength isdeterminedasdiameter > position > loading speed. The optimal parameter combination was obtained as diameter 6.6mm ,loading speed 140mm/min and position 200mm ,under which the tensile strength was the smallest. The stress-strain curve of garlic boltwas obtained through tensileandcompresive tests.Theanalysisofthecurve shows thatthegarlicbolt has elastic deformation stage and failure stage,butno strengthening stage,and theremay beyield stage incompressive tests.The average compressive strength and elastic modulus of the garlic bolt stalk head are 1.78MPa and 4.84MPa respectively.The mean compressive strength and elastic modulus of the middle part are 2.59MPa and 6.21 MPa respectively. The mean compressive strength of the tail is 2.97MPa and the mean elastic modulus is 6.33MPa .This study provides an important reference for the designof the garlic bolt picking machine,and also provides a basis for subsequent relevant research.
