Abstract：LicoriceiscultivatedonalargescaleinboththenorthernandsouthernregionsofXinjang.Duetoitsextensive medicinal valueand biological characteristicsofdroughtandsaline-alkali tolerance，thedevelopmentoflicoricecultivation industry hasbecomeanimportant way toenhancethelocal regional economyand increase farmers'income.However，the currentmechanizedharvestingrateoflicoriceisrelativelylow，andthelackofsuitablemachineryhasbecomeamajorproblem forlocal growers.Inadition，thehigh laborcostsduring theharvesting seasonhavesignificantlyreducedtheprofitabilityof cultivation.Thisarticleanalyzes thecurrentapplicationof mechanized harvestingof icoriceinXinjiang，discusseshemain problems existing in the mechanized operation process，and proposes suggestions and measures such as adopting standardized and mechanizedplanting modesand developingreliableand durableharvesting machinery.It providesareference for the research，development，and application of mechanized harvesting technology and equipment for licorice in Xinjiang.
