Abstract:Aimingattherealisticdemandof mechanized plantingof small plots inhillyandmountainousareas,a remote-controlcompact rice transplanter was designed,which mainlyincludes a walkingdevice,aricetransplanterand its control system.Thedesigned traveling device adopted the DCmotortodrive the left and right wheels independently,so astorealizethe travellng functionsofthericetransplantersuchasforward,backwardandstering.Thedesigned riceplanting deviceadoptedarice-planting motor todrive thericeseedling frame moving mechanism andthetransplanting mechanism to work together,soas to achieve precise rice-planting.The whole machine control system basedon CAN bus was developed toremotelycontrolthetravellingdirectionandspeedof therice transplanter,aswellasthestarting andstopping of therice transplanting operation through theremote control.Theadaptivecontrol algorithmof rice transplanting was designed tocontrol therotational speedof the drive motorof therice transplanting mechanisminreal timetoensure theconsistencyofseedling spacing.Fieldtestswereconducted in paddyfields with thedepth of mud layer ranging from 15 to 25cm ,and the results showed that when the plant spacing was set at 15cm and the operating speeds of 0.4,0.5and 0.6m/s ,the maximum values of the offset of the rice transplanter travelling in a straight line were 5.01cm , 4.65cm and 5.02cm ,and the average values of the spacing of the seedlings were 14.96cm , 15.05cm and 15.11cm ,and the maximum values of the error were 0.41cm , 0.79cm and 0.63cm ,respectively. And the coefficients of variation were O.Ol4,O.O22 and O.O2O,the seedling floating rate was 1.9% ,and the seedling overturning rate was 1.8% ,indicating that the remote-controlled compact transplanter designed by this institute has good operational performance and improves the mechanization level of rice planting in hilyand mountainous areas.
