Application Analysis of the New Generation Weather Radar in Meteorological Services

Abstract On the basis of expounding the composition and working principle of the new generation weather radar and the display of radar products based on GIS， this paper describes the observation mode of the new generation weather radar， and analyzes the application of weather radar in four typical examples， namely， short-time heavy precipitation forecasting service， thunderstorm and gale forecasting service， low-temperature early warning service， and Cloud seeding， in combination with the weather radar weather service practice in Ningde City， Finally， several precautions for using the new generation weather radar are proposed for reference.

摘要 在阐明新一代天气雷达组成、工作原理、基于GIS的雷达产品显示的基础上，描述了新一代天气雷达的观测模式，并且结合宁德市天气雷达气象服务实践，就短时强降水预报服务、雷雨大风预报服务、低温预警服务、人工降雨4个典型案例分析了天气雷达的应用，并提出了使用新一代天气雷达的注意事项，以供参考。（剩余5978字）
