Analysis of A Large-scale Severe Hail Weather in the Central and Eastern Parts of Shandong Province in June 2018

Abstract Utilizing NCEP/NCAR 1°×1°reanalysis data, conventional meteorological observations, sounding data, and Doppler weather radar data were used to analyze the large-scale circulation background, environmental parameter characteristics, small and medium-sized weather characteristics, and uplift triggering mechanism of large-scale hail weather in Weifang area on June 13, 2018. The results showed that: (1) The upper-air cold vortex, the 850 hPa shear line and jet stream, the left side of the 200 hPa jet outlet area and the surface cold front were favorable circulation conditions for hailstorms. (2) The warm advection in the lower troposphere and the cold advection in the middle and upper troposphere provided thermal instability for the occurrence of strong convection. (3) The ground dew point was 20~21 ℃, the atmospheric precipitation was more than 30 mm, and the specific humidity of 850 hPa was more than 8 g/kg. (4) The supercell storms in Hanting and Changyi were typical, with hook-shaped echoes, echo overhangs, and V-shaped inflow gaps. (5) The vertically integrated liquid water content (VIL) was a favorable indicator for judging the occurrence of large hail.

摘要 利用NCEP/NCAR 1°×1°再分析资料、常规气象观测、探空资料和多普勒天气雷达资料,分析2018年6月13日潍坊地区大范围冰雹天气的大尺度环流背景、环境参数特征、中小尺度天气特征及抬升触发机制等。(剩余5260字)
