Analysis of M5.6 Earthquake Mechanism in Luding， Ganzi， Sichuan

Abstract The M5.6 earthquake occurred in Luding， Ganzi， Sichuan on January 26， 2023. According to the information released by the China Earthquake Networks Center Center， the earthquake reached a focal depth of 11km. This earthquake belongs to the normal fault type， with the epicenter located to the west of the Xianshui River main fault. In order to gain a deeper understanding of this earthquake， this article will conduct an in-depth analysis of the M5.6 earthquake mechanism in Luding， Ganzi， Sichuan， hoping to provide reference for relevant personnel to carry out earthquake prevention work.
