Analysis of Characteristics of Ozone Pollution in Zhangzhou City and Its Relationship with Meteorological Factors

Abstract Based on the daily and hourly O3 concentration data of Zhangzhou City and the ground observation data of meteorological stations from 2016 to 2018, the characteristics of ozone pollution in Zhangzhou City and its meteorological causes are discussed. The study found that: (1) the annual average concentration of O3 in Zhangzhou City continued to increase from 2016 to 2018, and the pollution situation of O3 became increasingly prominent;(2)The daily variation of O3 concentration had a unimodal pattern, with the lowest point at 06:00~08:00, the highest point at 15:00~16:00, and the exceeding period concentrated between 13:00~17:00;(3)The variation of O3 concentration had obvious seasonality, especially the content was higher in late spring, summer, and early autumn;(4)The concentration of O3 was positively correlated with temperature, but negatively correlated with relative humidity and wind speed. When the temperature was greater than 15 ℃, the relative humidity was between 50% and 75%, the wind speed was ≤ 2.0 m/s, and the southeast or northwest wind was controlled, the concentration of O3 in Zhangzhou City increases significantly, making it easy for O3 pollution to occur.
