Research on Middle School English Reading Teaching from an Interdisciplinary Perspective

AbstractAsanimportant language tool,English plays acrucial rolein cultivating students'culturalunderstanding, critical thinking,and various otherabilities.Interdisciplinary teachingreflects the evolutionofChina's taching oncept fromthe original subject-based teaching mode to anew model that emphasizes the integration of multiple disciplines. This transformation aligns with the higher requirements for talent cultivation inthe new era.Therefore,this paper conducts a studyonthe practiceof junior high school English reading teaching froman interdisciplinary perspective. The studysuggests that in interdisciplinary teaching,whencarryingoutEnglishreading teaching,teachersshould focus on the organic integration of disciplines,create an interdisciplinary learning environment for students,and stimulate students'interest and spirit of inquirythrough diversified teaching activities.This approach makes English reading teaching more vividand eficient,ultimatelyachieving theteaching goalofenhancing students'comprehensive literacy.
