AbstractMusic education in higher education institutions plays aunique role in talent cultivation.Through music learning,students can strengthen their cultural identityand cultivate a sense of social responsibility through music practice activities.Therefore,this paper focuses on the characteristics of music education in higher education institutions and proposes implementation paths forideological and politicaleducation using musicas acarierTeachers should,based on the framework of music work analysis, creative practice,and appreciation teaching,explore the paterns of value transmission in music,enabling students to internalize values through melody perception,rhythm experience,and harmonyconstruction.This approachaims tobuildadistinctive music educationsystem forideological and political cultivation.
