Abstract:MembersoftheEILgenefamilyinwildbarley(Hordeumspontaneum)wereidentifiedbasedonwhole-genomeanalysis technology;thecompositionanddistributioncharacteristicsofcis-actingelementsintheirpromoterregionswereanalyzed;andtheir expresionpatersunderstressconditionswere investigated tomine potential stress-resistantregulatorygenes.Theresultsshowed thattheEIL genefamilyinwildbarleycontainedsevenmembers,namelyHEI1,HEI2,HEIL3,HEIL,HEIL5,HEIL6,and HuEIL7.Thesevenmembershadanaverage proteinlengthof489aa,ameanmolecular weightof53790.52u,isoelectricpontsrangingfrom489to6.7,andistabilityindicesetween4.and.39;allwerehydrophilicproteisandlocalizedintenucleus.Cis actingelementsinthepromoterregionsofmembersintheEILgenefamilyofwildbarleytotaled14types,mainlyincludinglightresponsiveelements,planthormone-esponsiveelements,andstre-responsiveelements.Inranscriptomedataanalysisofwildbarley,geneexpresiolevelsvarieduderdiffrenttreamentsHEIL,HEIL,andHEI7showednosignificantdieensinexpresionlevelsundercontroltreatment,droughtstresstreatment,orrehydrationtreatmentafterdrought,indicatingthattheegenes mightnotparticipateindroughtstressesponse.TesuppressionofHEIL4expresionasassociatedwithehanceddroughtresistance,suggesting that it might play a negative regulatory role in barley drought tolerance.
