Identification and evaluation of thermotolerance in japonica rice germplasm resources under whole growth period warming stress

Abstract:Inorder to explore theresponseof yieldandappearancequalityof Japonicaricegermplasmresources totemperature increaseandscreenouthermotolerancegermplasmresourcesofJaponicarice,365coregermplasmsofJaponicaricefromtheresearch intheearlystagewereusedasexperimentalmaterials,andtheconventionalfieldwasusedasthecontrol.Theartfcial greeouse wasusedtoincreasethetmperatureduringtheholegrowthperiod,andtheplantheight,yieldcompoentsandappearancequality traitsofJaponicaricewere measured.Theresultsshowed that,compared withthecontrol,thegrowthanddevelopmentprocessof Ja ponicaricewasacelerated,thegrowth periodwassignificantlyshortened,andthetilernumberwassignificantlyreducedunderthe wholegrowth peridwarmingstressAtmaturity,underthewholegrowthperiodwarmingstress,theefectivepanicleumberteprimarybrachnumber,seedsetingrateandthousand-grainweightdecreasedsignificantlyorextremelysignificantly,thegrainwidth andgrainthicknesincreased,thelength-widthratiodecreased,andthegrainwasshortandround.Comparedwiththecontrol,the appearancequalitydeteriorated,thechalkyricerateandchalkinessdegreeincreasedsignificantly,andthegrain transparencydecreasedsignificantlyunderthewholegrowthperiodwarmingstres.Inadition,itwasalsofoundthatdiferentyieldfactorsadifer entresponses twarmingstres,andthetermotoleranceofdifrentJaponicaricevarietiesasalsosignificantlydiferent.enstrong thermotoleranceJaponicaricegerplasmswithexcellntcomprehensiveritsereidentifidandsreenedbyusingthekeyerotoleranceresponse indexessuchasefectivepanicle number,sedsetingrate,chalkyricerateandchalkinessdegree,aswells the comprehensive heat tolerance coefficient.
