Co-composting of phosphogypsum, rice straw and chicken manure and its effect on soil improvement

Abstract:Ricestrawwasusedasthemainawcompostingmaterialandchickenmanurewasused toadjusttheratioofcarbontonitro gen,then 30% phosphogypsum according to the mass ofdrystraw was added to explore the effects of phosphogypsum on straw+chickenmanurecompostingprocessandalsothesoil improvementof thecompostproductswasinvestigated.Theresultsshowedhatcomposthadignificantdecompositionanddisintegrationefectsonstrawandphosphogypsum.Inthecompostingprocess,thedurationof the high temperature period of the stack containing 30% phosphogypsum still met the requirement of harmless composting,and the temperature stabilityinthelaterstageofcomposting wasimproved.Attheendofcomposting,theseedgerminationindexvaluecould reach 106.77% .The application efect ofcompost products in soil showed that compared with the straw+chicken manure compost productwithoutphosphogypsum,thecompstfertilizerwithphosphogypsumcouldincreasethesaturatedwatercontentfieldwaterapacity,electricaloductiityndvalableosphrusotentofsilroteprspetiveortilzatio,teompostingfo phogypsum + straw + chicken manure had the potential to improve soil.
