Changes starch content in different potato varieties with tuber diameter

Abstract:Thre potato(SolanumtuberosumL.)varieties,namelyAtlantic,Eugene,andHoland,wereusedasmaterialstodeterminethestarchcontentintubersdiferentdiametersandanalyzetherelationshipbetweenstarchcontentandtuberdiameter.Theresultsshowedtattealopectincontenttetreeestedpotatoarietiesassigcantlyighertanteaylosecontentidicat ingthatamylopectinwasthedominantstarchtype,andthecortexwasthemainstoragesiteforstarch.ThetuberdiameterscorrespondingtotheaccumulationpeaksmlosendamylopectincontentsindiferentpartsthethreevarietieswerediferentBeforethe peak,thestarchcontentincreasedwiththeincreasetuberdiameter.Exceptforindividualcases,thediferences instarchcontent betweendiffrentdametergradestubersreachedasignificantlevel,sowingalineargrowthtrendwithagoodcorelation.htuber starchcontentatlanticwasteghest,andthecorelationwithtuberdiameterwasthbest,soitcouldbeusedasakeyobjectfor studying thevariationlawpotatostarchcontent.Meanhile,accordingtothevariationlawstarchcontentintubersthetreeVarieties,it was concluded that there was a positive correlation between starch growth rate and starch content.
