Scanning electron microscopy of antennal sensilla of ten species of ants

Abstract：10antspecieswereselectedasresearch subjects，includingOdontomachus monticola Emery，Ectomomyrmex javanus Mayr，DorylusentalisWesod，AphenogastersurFrel，etramimrinatu（Nner），ycamagaritaeEry Technomyrmexantennus Zhou，Chronoxenus dalyi（Forel），Formica lemaniBondroit，andCamponotus pseudolendus WuetWang. Theantenaeof theantsweredriedthrough gradientdehydration，andthesensillditributedonthescape，pedicel，andflagellumof theanteaewerebseed，potograped，nddentifiedusingasaingelectronmicrosope.Thediferencesinantealsslla amongsubfamilies and genera were analyzed.Theresults showed thatthere were mainlyseven types ofsensillontheantenae Sensilltric（St），ill，sill）），isb），ilfuf），sil miformia（s），andsensill gemmiformium（Sg）.Amongthm，sensill trichoidwas themaintypeonantantenae，withawidedistribution，largequantityndtresubtypes.erewerecrtaindierencsintetypesandumbersofntealsensllaaogifer ent taxonomic ranks，which could serve as effective characteristics for ant classification.
