Spatiotemporal evolution and driving factors of digital village development in Guangdong Province

Abstract：The2Oprefecture-levelcities inGuangdong Province（excluding Shenzhen City）from2013to2022 weretakenas thesearchobjects.Anevaluationindexsystemfordigitalvllagedevelopmentcoveringfivekeydimensions wasconstructed.Theentropyweighted TOPSIS method wasadopted to measure thedevelopment levels.The Kernel density estimation method，Moran's I index， andtheGeoDetectormodel wereutilized tosystematicallanalyzethespatiotemporalevolutioncharacteristicsanddrivingfactorsIt wasshownthattheoveralldevelopmentlevelofdigitalvillgesinGuangdongProvincehadbeencontinuouslyrising.However，significantregionaldisparitiesexisted，withthePearlRiverDeltaregiontakingtheleadandtheeastern，western，andnorthernregionsof Guangdongfacinga“digitaldivide".Tedevelopentlevelofdigitalvilgesdemostratedstablespatialaglomeratiocracteristics.“High-high”clusters were mainlyconcentratedinthePearlRiverDeltaregion，andthere werecities withstructural“eapfrogging".Thedriving mechanismofdigitalvillagedevelopmentshowedatrendoftransformationfromexogenousdriverssuchasgovernmentsupporttondogenousdriverssuchasinnovationinpuandagriculturallevel.Finally，targetedcountermeasuresandsuggestios were putforward regarding regional diferences，policylinkage，and innovation-drivendevelopmentin Guangdong Province.
