From Village Rituals to Community Cohesion: A Study on the Exchanges, Interactions, and Integration among Ethnic Groups of Jingmai Mountain's Bulang Tea Ancestor Festival

Abstract:This study examinesthe TeaAncestor Festival oftheBulang ethnic groupinJingmai Mountain,Lancang LahuAutonomousCountyuerCityYunanrovinc.roughfieldresearchndapplicationofRandallCollinsInteractionialCan Theory,thepaperanalyzesthisfestivalasadynamicritualsystemhatfaclitatesfunctionalevolutionandpracticalsignificancein ethnicinteractions.TheresearchrevealsthattheTeaAncestorFestivalwasoriginallavillgebasedritual.WithJingmaiMountain's successulWorldHeritageSitedesignationandsubsequenttourismdevelopment,thisfestivalhasevolvedintoaculturalplatformfor multiethnicparticipation.TheTeaAncestorFestivalhasevolvedfromtraditionalvilageritualsintoaculturaladhesivethrough sharedritualsymbolsandcelebratoryspaces.Thistransformationfostersultiethnicengagement,emotioalresonancendcultural identity, providing concrete pathways to forge the sense of community for the Chinese nation.
