Comparative Analysis of Adjective Word Formation in Chinese and Kazakh

Abstract：Basedontheexisting Kazakh grammar，thisarticletakes theword formationmethodofadjectivesastheentry point， andthrough methodssuchasliteraturereview，caseanalysisandcomparativeresearch，itpresentsandsystematicallsummarizesthe wordformationmethodsofadjectivesinbothChineseandKazakh.Tisarticlenotonlymeticulouslysortsouttheconstituentelements oftheir wordformatio，butalsofocusesonexploringthecombinationrulesoftheseelementsintewordformationprocessTough thestudyofthewordformationmethodsofChineseandKazakhadjectives，thispaperfurther exploresthecostituentelementsof ChineseandKazakhadjectivesanddiscovers therulesofadjectivesandtheirwordformationmethods.Theresearch findings show thatalthough ChineseandKazakhlanguages haveessentialdiferences ingrammatical structureandafixsystems，theybothadopt derivationandcompoundingmethodstoformadjectivesduringwordformation.Theresearchresultsofthisarticlehavecertaineference value foranin-depth understanding of the word formation characteristics and rules ofChineseand Kazakh languages.
