[Abstract] Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a common postoperative complication, characterized byconfusionof consciousnes,decreased attention,and impaired memory.The incidence of POCD is higherin elderly patients with gastrointestinal tumors due to factors such as age and surgery.At present,there is no consensus at home and abroad on the influencing factors of POCD.This article reviews the risk factors of POCD in elderly gastrointestinal tumor patients fromfour aspects:self,preoperative,intraoperative,postoperative,providing reference for clinical diagnosis, treatment,and nursing.
