Comparison of the Effects of ESDand EMR on Complete Resection Rate and Complications in Patients with ColorectalLaterally Spreading Tumor/FENGWenjuan.//Medical Innovationof China，2025， 22（29）： 106-109

[Abstract] Objective： To compare the effcacy of endoscopic submucosal dissection （ESD）and endoscopic mucosal resection （EMR） inthe treatment of patients with colorectal laterally spreading tumor（LST）.Method： A totalof 86 patients with colorectal LSTadmited to Shanghai FirstPeople's Hospital Jiuquan Hospital from January 2022 to January 2O24 were selected as the research subjects.The subjects were divided into two groups according to the random number table method， with 43 cases in each group.The control group received EMR treatment，while the observation group received ESD treatment.Perioperative indicators，complications，recurencerate，and quality of life between two groups were compared.Result： There was no significant difference in intraoperative bleeding between the two groups （ P >0.05）.The whole-piece resection rate and complete resection rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，the postoperativeexhaust and defecation time inthe observation group were earlier than those in the control group，andthe complication rate and recurrence rate were lower than those in the control group （ P <0.05）.The scores of each dimension of the World Health Organization quality of life scale-BREF（WHOQOL-BREF） in the observation group1 month after surgery were higher thanthose in the control group （ P <0.05）.Conclusion： Compared with EMR，ESD has a higher whole-piece resection rate，complete resection rate，lower complicationrateandrecurrencerate，which isconducive to improving thetherapeutic effectof patients with colorectal LST.
