Influence of Runfei Ointment Combined with Cefotaxime Sodium for Injection on Symptom Regression Time and Inflammatory Factors Levels in Elderly Patients with CAP/GAO Jie， DENG Xueying. //Medical Innovation of China，2025，22（29）： 005-009

[Abstract]Objective：To study the influence of Runfei Ointment combined with Cefotaxime Sodium fol Injectiononthesymptomregresson timeand levelsof inflammatory factorsinelderlypatientswithcommunityacquired pneumonia （CAP）.Method： Eighty elderly CAP patients inNanchang 334 Hospital from January 2023 tc September 2O24 were selected and divided into single group （treated with Cefotaxime Sodium， n =40）and combinec group （Runfei Ointment on the basis of single group， n=40 ）by random envelope method. After 2 weeks of treatment， the efficacy，symptomregression time， inflammatoryfactors [serumamyloid A （SAA），CRPand IL-6]andoccurrence of adverse reactions were evaluated in thetwo groups.Result：The total effctiverate of treatment in combined group was 97.50% ，which was higher than 85.00% in single group P <0.05）. The cough and expectoration regression time，fever abatement time and disappearance time of pulmonary rales in combined group were （ 4.02±0. 66）， 0 2.46±0.61 ）and （4.86±0.74） d，which were earlier than （4.74±0.79 ）， 3.22±0.69 ）and 6.24±0.9 7） d in single group （ P <0.05）.After treatment，the levelsof SAA，CRP and IL-6 in both groups were decreased，and the levels in combined group （7.42±1.02）mg/L ， （7.32±1.28）mg/L and （4.86±1.02）pg/mL] were lower than （8.25±1.56）mg/L ， （204号 （9.05±2.71）mg/L and （5.62±1.13）pg/mL in single group （ P <0.05）. There was no statistical difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between groups （ P>0.05 ）.Conclusion：Runfei Ointment combinedwith Cefotaxime Sodium for Injection has significant eficacy in the treatmentof elderly CAP.Itcan effectivelyshorten theclinical symptom regression timeand improve the inflammatory response of patients，and it will not aggravate adverse reactions，with high safety.
