[Abstract] Objective: To analyze the application value of magnetic resonance difusion-weighted imaging (DWI) inthe diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme(GBM) inchildren.Method:Theclinical data of88children with suspected GBM in Ganzhou Womenand Children's Health Care Hospital from July 2O23 to December 2024 were selected for retrospective analysis.All patients underwent CTand DWI examinations.Taking the surgical pathologicalresultsas thegoldstandard,thediagnostic valueof thetwo examinationmethods forGBMwasanalyzed. The imaging scores of CTand DWI were compared,and the apparent diffusion coeffcient (ADC) values and relative apparent diffusion coefficient (rADC)values of different lesion sites in truly positive patients inDWI were analyzed. Result:The sensitivity and negative predictive value of DWI in diagnosing GBM were higher than those of CT 0 P <0.05). In patients with true positive of DWI,the ADC value ofthe solid lesion site was relativelylow,the ADC value of the necrotic area and cystic area were relatively high,and the ADC value of the surrounding edema area was between thetwo.DWI were superior to CT in terms of anatomical resolution,clarityof tumor boundarynecrosis/ cystic change display,enhancement/diffusion limitation display,artifact/noise score and total score ( P <0.05).
Conclusion:DWI shows great advantages in the diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme lesions in children,the imaging situation is beterthan CT,and the sensitivityand negative predictive value of GBMare higher than CT.
