[Abstract]Magnetic resonance imaging（MRI） is widelyused in the examination of soft tissues，ligaments and organs in children due to itsclearer imaging andno radiation tothe body.However，children often havedificulty cooperating when awake due to factors such as anxiety and severe noise from MRI，and often require sedation. Successful sedation can reduce the rate of general anesthesia.This article comprehensively reviews the latest research progressof needle-free sedation technique in pediatric MRI examination，including oral，nasal mucosa andoral mucosa，rectal mucosa，atomization inhalation，and compound routeadministration.The aim is toprovide reference forachievingsafe，effective，non-invasive，convenient，and highlyacceptable individualized nedle-free sedation technique for children patients in MRI examination.
