The Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hot Steaming Bag on Symptoms Related to the Removal of Catheter after Prostatectomy/XIONG Huan， CHENG Yanfu.//Medical Innovation of China， 2025，22（24）： 071-074

[Abstract] Objective： To analyze the effect of traditional Chinese medicine hot steaming bag on the symptoms related to theremoval of catheter after prostatectomy.Method： Sixty patients who underwent prostatectomy in Qingyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2O23 to August 2024 were selected，allof them were retained withcatheterafteroperation.According totherandomnumber table method，they were divided into control groupand observation group，with 3O cases in each group.Thecontrol group was given routine nursing，and the observation group was intervened with traditional Chinese medicine hot steaming bag based on this.Thedegreeof extubationpain，the degreeof urinarytract iritation，thecolorof drainage fluid，the timeof blader irrigation，the time of catheter placement and the incidence of urinary incontinence were compared between the groups.Result： The degree of extubation pain andthe degree of urinary tract iritation during the first urination after catheter removed intheobservation group were lighter than thoseinthe control group，the bladder irigation time and the indwelling catheter time were shorter than those inthe control group，and the incidence of urinary incontinence was lower than that in the control group， with statistical significance （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： The traditional Chinese medicine hot steaming bag can significantly reduce the pain during the removalof catheter in patients who have undergone prostatectomy，reduce the irritationofurethra，andreduce the timeofbladderirigationandcatheter placement.
