Abstract:TheQinpeople heldagrouptraditionof“fondnessforundertaking grand projects”.InthecarlyperiodtheQin，people frequentlybuiltewcapitalsintiallyfomingthetraditionof“fondnessforundertakinggrandprojects”Aftertheymovedtecapital toYongchng，improvedfrmingandsetledculurespuredtefourishingofcitwallsandmoats；folowingtherelocationtoXiayang, thetraditionmergedwiththefarmingwarsystem，andlagescalemilitaryndwaterconservancyprojectsbroughtittoitsznithTis “fondnessforudertakinggrandprojects”epitomizestheQinulers’statecraftmindset:governngtherealmthroughgrandconstruction. Afterunification，theQintransplantedthis“fondnessforundertakinggandprojects”gneintotheempire，indirectlyaceleratingits collapse.
