Exploring the Path of Enhancing Students' Cultural Awareness in Junior High School English Teaching

AbstractThis paper focuses on thecurrent situation ofcultural awarenesscultivation in junior high school English teaching,analyzes the existing problems,and based on the conceptofcore competencies,proposes paths to enhance students' cultural awareness. Through strategies such as updating teaching concepts, optimizing teaching content, innovating teaching methods,and stimulatingstudents'interest,it aims to improve students'cultural awarenessand cross- culturalcommunication skils.Empirical research shows that this path canefectively enhance students'cultural awareness,cross-culturalcommunicationskils,andEnglishtestscores,providingausefulreference forjuniorhigh schoolEnglish teaching in China.Thisresearch isof great significance forpromoting English teaching reform and achievingthegoalsofquality-oriented education.
