Abstract：Thispaperexplorestheefectivepathwaysforcultivatinghigh-endcompositetalentsspecializedindual-carbon disciplinesatenergy-focuseduniversitiesunderthebackdropof"DoubleFirst-Class"disciplineconstruction.Inlightofthe globalandnational"DualCarbon"goals（carbonpeakandcarbonneutrality），thepapertakesthePetroleumFieldDevelopment Engineringspecialtyasacasestudy.Throughanin-depthanalysisofexistingissuesincurentteachingandpractice，suchas mismatchesbetweencourseoferingsandlow-carbontechnologyneeds，disconectsbetweenpracticalinstructionandindustry demands，insuffcientcultivationofinovationcapabities，andinadequatedisseminationofgreenandlow-carbonconcepts，a seriesofreform measuresareproposed.These measuresencompasscuiculum contentupdates，innovationsin teaching methodologiesenichmentofpracticalactitiesandeepenedintegrationofindustryacademiacoperationTheiriistofuly incorporatedual-carboncocepts，enhancestudents‘interdisciplinaryabiltiesandinterationalperspectives，andultimatelyfoa talentcultivationmodelthatmetsthedemandsoflow-carbontransition.Thearticleconcludesbyemphasizingthathigher educationinstitutionsmustproactivelyexplorecollborationswithdomestcandinternationalnterprises，promotingthedeep integrationofscientificresearchandeducation.Thisiscrucialforcultivatingcompositetalentscapableofplayingasignificant rolein global climate governance.
