Abstract:Thispaperexplorestheefectivepathwaysforcultivatinghigh-endcompositetalentsspecializedindual-carbon disciplinesatenergy-focuseduniversitiesunderthebackdropof"DoubleFirst-Class"disciplineconstruction.Inlightofthe globalandnational"DualCarbon"goals(carbonpeakandcarbonneutrality),thepapertakesthePetroleumFieldDevelopment Engineringspecialtyasacasestudy.Throughanin-depthanalysisofexistingissuesincurentteachingandpractice,suchas mismatchesbetweencourseoferingsandlow-carbontechnologyneeds,disconectsbetweenpracticalinstructionandindustry demands,insuffcientcultivationofinovationcapabities,andinadequatedisseminationofgreenandlow-carbonconcepts,a seriesofreform measuresareproposed.These measuresencompasscuiculum contentupdates,innovationsin teaching methodologiesenichmentofpracticalactitiesandeepenedintegrationofindustryacademiacoperationTheiriistofuly incorporatedual-carboncocepts,enhancestudents‘interdisciplinaryabiltiesandinterationalperspectives,andultimatelyfoa talentcultivationmodelthatmetsthedemandsoflow-carbontransition.Thearticleconcludesbyemphasizingthathigher educationinstitutionsmustproactivelyexplorecollborationswithdomestcandinternationalnterprises,promotingthedeep integrationofscientificresearchandeducation.Thisiscrucialforcultivatingcompositetalentscapableofplayingasignificant rolein global climate governance.
