QIAO Jian Taiyuan University，Taiyuan， Shanxi Province，O3oo32 China [Abstract] Thisarticle takes Taiyuan Universityasanexampleandadopts methods suchasquestionnaires surveyand statisticalanalysis toconductin-depthresearch onthe practicalsituationofthe dragonand liondance sports in Taiyuan University.Itis found that thereare the following mainproblems such as insufficient publicityand promotion fforts， an imperfect curriculum system，a weak teaching staf， and outdaed venue facilities. The specific suggestions are as follows： Firstly，publicityand promotion effrts should be strengthened to stimulate students'interest in learing； Secondly，a sound curriculum system should be constructed to meet the needs of different students；Again，the constructionoftheteachingstaffshouldbeenhancedtoimproveteachers'profesioallevel；Finallcapitalinvestment should be increased to improve the venuefacilities and equipment，soas to ensure the sustainable development of the dragon and lion dance courses.
