Value,Dilemmas and Strategies of Reforming the Evaluation of Public Physical Education Courses in Colleges and Universities with the Empowerment of Artificial Intelligence

School of Stomatology, Changsha Medical University, Changsha, Hunan Province, 413ooo China [Abstract] Withtherapid developmentofartificial inteligence (AI) technology,itsapplicationin theevaluation of public physical education courses in higher education has gradually become an important driver of reform. Through research methods such as literature review and logical analysis,this study deeply explores the value, challenges,and strategies ofAI empowerment in thereform of physical educationcourse evaluation in higher education. Findings reveal that AI empowerment in physical education course evaluation reform has several benefits,including improving evaluation eficiency and accuracy,enabling multi-dimensional dynamic aessments, promoting personalized development,enhancing educational equity,and closing the feedback loop to facilitate teaching reform and quality improvement. However, it also faces chalenges such as deviating from educational goals,weakening the essence of education,"algorithmic bias" undermining the fairnessof the evaluation process, and "data leakage" infringing on the privacy and security of the evaluation subjects.Based on this,the study proposes optimization strategies:returning to the essnce of education and establishing the auxiliary role of technology,eliminating algorithmic bias tobuildafair evaluation mechanism,and strengthening dataprotection to safeguard privacy and security.
