SWOT Analysis of the Development Pickleball Sports in Universities

Zhejiang Changzheng Vocational and Technical College，Hangzhou， Zhejiang Province，31oo23 China [Abstract] This articleaims toconductan in-depth explorationof thecurrent status ofthedevelopmentof pickleball inuniversities through literature reviewand SWOTanalysis （Strengths，Weakneses，Opportunities，andThreats）. Pickleball，asan emerging sport，has gained rapid popularity globally inrecent years due toits advantages such alow risk of ports injuries，significant exercise effcts，suitability for people of allages，simple venue requirements，strong entertainment value，and ease of use.It was isted as aperformance eventat the 2O24 Paris Olympics.However，in the processof promotingthesportofpickleballinuniversities，therearealsoaseriesofchallenges，suchaslackof professional guidanceandteaching resources，aswellasascarcityof campus competitionsand other disadvantages.Atthesame time， the promotion of domesticand international competitions，the influence of social media，policysupport，and funding investments have brought many opportunities for the development of thesport of pickleball However，it sould not be ignored that thecompetitive pressure oftraditional sports and the dificulty in understanding the scoring rules of pickleball lsoposeacertainthreat toits development. Inresponse tothese situations，this study proposes the following suggestions： It establishes school-assciation-enterprise collaborative mechanisms to empower teacher development， andto promote the enhancement of profesional guidance through cooperation； Itbuilds multi-level event networks， increases thequantityandqualityofcampus pickleballevents，and enhances the influence of the events；It implements diferentiated promotion approaches and develops targeted promotion plans basedon thecharacteristicsand conditions of differentunversities；Itpromotestheadaptationofrulesandteaching，ensuresthattheteachingcontentisconsistent withthe rulesofthesportofpickleball，andimproves teaching effectivenes.Thesesuggestionsaimtoprovidetheoretical supportand practical guidance foruniversities tocarryout the sport of pickleballand promote the popularizationand development of pickleball in universities.
