Research on the Application of Information Technology in Ideological and Political Education of College English Courses

Abstract：With the rapid developmentof information technology，the applicationof information-based teaching mode in higher education is becoming increasingly widespread.This article explores the application of information technologyinideologicalandpolitical education incollgeEnglishcourses.Firstly，thedefinition，mainmodes，and advantages of information technologyapplication ininformation-based teaching were elaborated.Then，the current situationof theapplicationof information technology inideologicaland political education incollgeEnglish courses was analyzed，including the limitedunderstandingandapplicationlevelofinformation technologybyteachers，as well as the lack of teaching interaction.Finally，corresponding application strategies were proposed based on this，such as the development andutilization of multimedia teaching resources，the functionality and application ofonline teaching platforms，and strengthening teacher information technology training. The application of information technology in ideological and political education in college English courses can improve teaching quality，enhance students' ideological and political literacy， and overall English proficiency.
