Abstract： With the rise of the digital age，people have become more convenient in obtaining and disseminating information.However，due to technological bariers，cognitive habits，and the complexityof mediaenvironments， elderly people are more likely to become victims of information divideand digital exclusion，which has an impact on their social participation and personal quality of life.This study focuses on the elderly population and conducts an in-depthanalysis of their current situation in terms of newmedia literacy.It explores various factors that affect the elderly's new media literacy and proposes strategies to enhance their level of new media literacy through social support，educationand training，and technologicaladaptation.These strategiesaim tohelp themadaptmore effectively tothemodern information societyandachieveabalance between digital integrationand intergenerational communication. And itis expected that this study can provide valuable theoretical basis and practical inspiration for constructinga digital media environment centered on the elderly.
