Abstract：This paper explores thevisuallanguagecharacteristicsofcolors inillstrationsofprimaryschool Chinesetextbooks， focusingonthreedimensions：basicvisualattributes，emotional expression，andeducationaladaptation.Thecolorsof the illustrationsare mainlycharacterized bymedium-high lightnessandlow puritywithhue matchingadaptedtothetextscenes; positive and negative emotions are conveyed through color tone combinations，and neutral colors play a coodinating role; thecolordesign is gradientlyadaptedto grade-specificcognition，responds totextcontent，andundertakes the functioof aestheticenlightenment.Theresearchshowsthat thecolorsoftextbook ilustrationsneedtoconformtothevisualdevelopment andcognitivecharacteristicsofprimaryschoolstudents，realizetheunityofinformationtransmission，emotionalresoance andeducationalaestheticvalue，provide visual supportfor Chineseteaching，and helpstudents deepen textunderstandingand cultivate aesthetic literacy.
