Abstract:WiththeimplementationoftheArtCuriculumStandardsforCompulsoryEducation(2022Edition),juniorsecondary arteducationin Chinaisundergoingashiftfromskil-basedtraining tothecultivationofcorecompetencies.As thecore languageof visual art,color instructionoftenfalsintothedilemmaofteoretical dullnessand mechanicalpracticedue toa lack of contextualization.Based on theJunior High School Art Textbook published by Jiangsu Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing House,this studyexplores thevalue ofcontextualized teaching incolor instruction.Byconstructing diverse learning contexts-suchas life-based perception,cultural interpretation,multimediaexperiences,and problem-based inquirythe studyseeks tobreak down thebarriersbetweencolor knowledgeandstudents’lived experiences.Thefindings indicate that deconstructingabstractcolor theories withinconcretecontextsefectivelylowerscognitivethresholdsand stimulatesstudents inquiry motivation,therebyenhancing theircolorperceptionand expresive abilities throughauthenticaestheticexperiences.
