Optimisation of Polyphenol Extraction from Elaeagnus Conferta Roxb. by Response Surface Methodology

Abstract: Using Elaeagnus conferta Roxb.as the raw material and polyphenol yield as the evaluation index, the response surface methodology was used to optimize the polyphenol extraction process of Elaeagnus conferta Roxb. based nsingle factor experiments.By analyzing the effects ofmaterial to liquid ratio,extraction temperature,ethanol volume fraction,and extraction time on polyphenol yield,the optimal extraction process parameters were determined to be a material to liquid ratio of 1:37(g:mL) , extraction temperature of 80∘C ,ethanol volume fraction of 72% and extraction time of 53min . Under these optimized conditions, the polyphenol yield of Elaeagnus conferta Roxb. can reach 15.3679% :
