Determination of 8 Heavy Metal Elements in Paper-Based Food Contact Materials by Microwave Digestion-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry

Abstract: Objective: Establishment of microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mas spectrometry for the deteminationofeighthavymetalelements (lead,cadmium,arsenic,mercury,nickel,obium,homum,nd thallum) in paper food contact material.Method: Paper food contact material samples were digested and weighed by a microwave digestion apparatus and measured using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Result: Chromium, nickel, lead and barium were between 0μg⋅L-1 and 100.00μg⋅L-1 ,cadmium, arsenic, and antimony were between 0μg⋅L-1 and 20.0μg⋅L-1 ,and mercury was well within the range of 0μg⋅L-1 to 2.00μg⋅L-1 . The relative standard deviationwasbetween 1.41% and 4.54% ;therecoverywasbetween 75.1% and 114.5% Conclusion: This method is simple,rapid,accurate,and hashighsensitivityand precision.Itis suitable forthedeterminationof eight kinds of heavy metal elements in paper contact materials.
