Abstract：Fromthe perspectiveofculturalsemioticstheory，this paperanalyzes thesimilaritiesanddifferencesincolorsymbols of woodblock New Year prints in Zhuxian Townand Huaxian County，studies andcompares the internal reasons for thecolor diferences betweenthetwoplaces，andexploresthemetaphoricalmeaningsasignedtocolors intheculturesofthetwoplaces andthe generationlogicbehind theirsymbols.Itwasfound thatalthoughthecolorsinboth placesareinfluencedbytraditional colors，the woodblock New Year prints in Zhuxian Townuseahigh-purityand strongcontrasting color system toconstruct a visualsemanticsystemof "driving awayeviland disasters，andpassingonetiqueteand teachings";The woodblock New Year prints of Huaxian，ontheother hand，createaharmonious aestheticorderof "gods protectingand elegant gods residing in the heart"through weak contrast andcolorharmony，which provides theoreticalreference forour future personalizedinheritanceof intangible cultural heritage.
