Abstract：The metaphorical modeof thinking provides the posibilityoftranscendingthelimitations of verbal expression， establishing metaphorcriticismasafundamentalcriticalparadigminthehistoryofliterarytheoryin China.In"Wenxin Diaolong"（TheLiterary MindandtheCarvingof Dragons），LiuXiedevelopedametaphoricalcriticismsystemcharacterized by its substantialityand profound thought，withcolor metaphor criticism being an important branchofthis framework.Liu Xieengaged inthe practiceofcolor metaphor criticism from the perspectivesof metaphoricalness，talent comparison，and literaryanalogy.Heconstructedatheoreticalframework forcolormetaphor criticism byexamining theappicationof color imageryandmetaphoricalthinking，ofering furtherelucidationandrefinementoftheseconcepts.Liu Xie'sapproach tocolor metaphorcriticismenhancesand expands theexisting metaphoricalcriticismsystem，profoundlyinfluencing literarycriticismin subsequent generations.
