AbstractUnder the background of the new currculum reform,large-unit teaching is an important approach to enhancig clasroomquality.The "5E" teaching model provides a framework for promoting students'autonomous knowledgeconstruction.The integrationresearch ofthetwohas significant practical value.Thisarticle elaborateson the commonalitiesand synergies between the two in knowledge constructionand quality improvement,reconstructs a teaching modelcenteredonbigconcepts,andtakes "Equations ofConic Sections"asan example to explore the specific implementation strategiesof this modelin high school mathematics teaching,with theaimof providing theoretical support and practical guidance for the reform of high school mathematics teaching.
