Research on the Construction of Interdisciplinary Teaching Mode in College English from the Perspective of Core Literacy

AbstractAgainst the backdrop of deepening curriculum reform and a surge in demand for composite talents,the traditionalcolege English teaching modelisclearlylagging behind andcanno longer meet the needs of higher educationand socialdevelopment inthe new situation.Therefore,itis urgent toreform it.Thearticleanalyzestheclose relationship between core competencies and interdisciplinary abilities of college students,and elaborates on the necessityofinterdisciplinaryteachingincollgeEnglishtomeet talentneeds,break throughtraditionallimitations,and promote students'comprehensive development. It proposes to use strategies such as developing multiple intellgences, integrating characteristic courses,deepening teacher-student interaction, and expanding open leaming to construct an interdisciplinary teaching model that fitsthe cultivationofcore competencies.This study aims to enhance students' comprehensive abilities in language use,thinking expansion,cultural understanding,and independent exploration, providing a feasible path for innovation in college English teaching.
