Abstract:Intheabsenceof groundtruth,thisstudyevaluatestheuncertaintyoffiveGPPproducts(VPM,Nirv,ANN, CLM4,andGTEC)across theconterminousUnitedStatesusingthegeneralizedThre-CorneredHat(TCH)methodfromdiferent perspectives.Theresultsshowthat:From2O0Oto2O10,GPPinthenortheasternandsoutheasterncoastalregionsofthe conterminousUnitedStatesdeclined,whileGPPintheMidwestshowedanincreasingtrend;UsingtheTCHmethod,the uncertaintyofGPPacrosstheconterminousUnited Stateswasfoundtoincreasefromwesttoeast;Theuncertaintydistributionof diferentproductsintermsoflatitude,longitude,andpixelratioisloselyrelatedtothemodeltypesandparameterhandling methods;GPPuncertaintyishigestinborealclimates,hileinaridandtropicalclimates,uncertaintyissignificantlynflueced bythemodelstreatmentofwaterstressandlightintensity.TheresultsemphasizetheneedforGPPmodelstocomprehensively considermultiplefactorsunderdiferentgeographicalandclimaticconditionstoselectappropriateconstructionmethods.The generalizedThree-CorneredHatmethodprovidesanefectivemeansforassessingtheuncertaintyofGPPproductsandother carbon flux products in the absence of ground truth.
