Dynamic evaluation of land ecological quality in Suijiang County based on remote sensing ecological index

Abstract:Basedontheremotesensingimagedataof2Oo0,210,and2020,thefourcoreindicatorsofgreendegreeindex(NDVI), humidity index(WET),dryness index(NDBsI),and heat index ( LST )were extracted through Landsat series satellite images,and theremotesensing ecologicalindex(RSEI)wasconstructed usingtheprincipalcomponentanalysis tocomprehensivelyevaluatethe landecologicalqualityofSuijiang County,YunnanProvince,andrevealitsspatialandtemporalevolutioncharacteristicsanddriving mechanisms.Theresultsshowedthat,from20o0to2O2O,theaverageRSEIofSuijiangCountydecreasedfromO.61to0.47,andthe ecologicalqualityshowedatrendofoveralldegradation.After2O1,thevegetationrestorationefectofSuijiangCountywaemarkable,andthegreendegreeidexcontiudtoincrease.Theexpansionofconstructionlandandthedryandhotclimateledtoigificantincreaseinthedryessindexandacontinuousdeclineinthehumidityindex.TheecologicaldegradationofSujiangCountywas concentratedintheJinshaRivercoastalareasndtheareaswiththeexpansionofconstructionland,whilethehigh-altitudearaswith good vegetation protection still maintained high ecological quality.
